Biography

Performing, composing, recording, and lots of practicing!

Don't think that I'm confined to just performing. Oh, no. I have been lately working on several compositions.

Teaching and coaching is also a favorite to my heart.

Me & the OUD

I'm proud to be the first Lebanese to graduate from Arab Oud House in Cairo in December 2005 on the hands of Master Naseer Shamma.

Mr. Naseer offered me a personal scholarship to cover my studying & expenses at Arab Oud Housein Cairo for one year, and was later extended to another year! OH I'm blessed!

I joined my intense training with Mr. Naseer in September 2003 and my graduation Concert took place on 12 December 2005 in Al-Harrawi House in Old Cairo.

Participated in all the concerts of Arab Oud House Group since January 2004, after Mr. Naseer Shamma commissioned him to be the first to play the "Soprano Oud" which was suggested by Mr. Shamma.

During my stay in Arab Oud House I had the opportunity to meet the world's best musicians and Oud Players from whom I gained lots of skills and experience, all under the patronage of Mr. Shamma; among these: Nehad Al Sayed, Mustafa Said & Hazem Chahine.

Skills

I can say humbly and without ego that I'm not your average musician. Though I started my musical training at a considerably late age, I still consider myself lucky that I had the required attention to my talent which I knew it was there for so long!

Born in a family of non-musicians, I had to work hard to convince people of my talent and gain their respect and admiration.

I first started my Oud training in private with Oud player Abbas Kaasamany before I selected Architecture as a major in college, and on the same time registered myself at the Conservatory of Music- Beirut where I completed five academic years in three calendar years. Three of these years where at the hands of Mr. Hassan Idris while the last two years at  Mr. Charbel Rouhana; but obviously nothing was enough for me!

in 2003, and after completing my Architecture High Degree Diploma in Lebanese University I contacted Mr. Naseer Shamma, the great Oud player, and I expressed to him how eager I was to study under his supervision and to his theory, only if I get the chance!

                                  .......and I GOT IT!!

I'm passionate about sharing back what I learned to the Oud music community!
